There are many rules with what happens when you die in the wilderness

PvP Skull

How you get skulled:

  • Attacking another player first gives you a 5 minute skull.

  • Talking to the emblem trader and asking for a 20 minute skull.

  • Equipping an Abyss-related item while in the Abyss

Un-skulled PvP Death

Dying in PvP combat without a Skull, you will lose all but your 3 most valuable items. You can check which items will be kept on death by looking at the interface found on your character gear tab.

Skulled PvP Death

Dying to another player while skulled will cause you to lose all your items.

Protect Item

A prayer unlocked at 25 prayer.
